Fair play & monitoring
![]() |
1. What is not allowed
- Bots, macros, scripts or any program that plays for you or automates actions (including making runes, walking routes, healing or attacking).
- Modified clients, memory editing, packet tools, or anything that changes how the game client works.
- Abusing bugs, duplicating items or gold, and moving goods between accounts to evade game rules.
Automation is only allowed for accounts that the administration authorized in writing. The authorization is per account and can be revoked.
2. Official client only
The game checks that you are using the official Vaelor client (its files and its executable). Unofficial or modified clients are disconnected. The client updates itself when you open the game.
2b. One client, one character, real computers
- One client per computer: you cannot run two game clients on the same computer (this keeps multi-clienting and boxing out of the game). The client itself refuses to open twice. Playing from the same network as someone else (family, LAN house) is fine, but if two accounts from the same IP address are both playing outside protection zones, staff may ask you to prove you are different people (for example controlling both characters at once or answering a quick question).
- One character per account online at a time.
- No virtual machines or emulated environments. The client detects them and the connection is closed.
- Accounts explicitly authorized by the administration (see section 1) are exempt from these limits.
3. What we monitor to detect cheating
- How you play: timing and patterns of actions (for example the interval between item uses and spells, how fast you react after taking damage), the routes you walk, long sessions without breaks, and unusual amounts of gold gained or traded. We keep a record of trades between players, bank transfers and player-shop sales.
- Hardware identifier: to enforce the rules above, the client sends a one-way hash built from identifiers of your computer (system and motherboard serials, Windows machine ID, system drive serial, processor model) and whether it detects a virtual machine. The hash cannot be turned back into those identifiers. We keep it with your account only to apply these limits; bans apply to the account, not to the computer.
- Input check inside the game window: while the game window has focus, the client notes whether clicks and key presses came from your physical keyboard and mouse or were generated by software. Every 30 seconds it sends only counters. The last 2 minutes of clicks and keys stay in your client memory and are sent to us only if a Game Master opens a check on you. We do not look at other windows, programs or your desktop, and we do not read what you type outside the game.
- Session recording: the server keeps in memory the last ~2 minutes of the game data sent to your client. If the system flags suspicious behavior, or a Game Master requests it, that recording is saved to a file. Saved recordings are kept as evidence and are not deleted.
- Live view: a Game Master can watch, in real time, what your game client receives (your game screen, not your desktop). Every use of these tools by staff is logged (who, when, on whom).
4. Anti-bot check for rune makers
If you spend about 2 hours making runes without gaining experience, you may be taken to a small room and asked to walk into the teleport within 60 seconds. The teleport is visible as soon as you arrive. If you pass, you return to where you were. If you do not pass, or you disconnect and do not pass after coming back, you are removed from the game and:
- 1st failure in 30 days: rune making is blocked on that character for 24 hours;
- 2nd failure in 30 days: the account is banned for 7 days;
- 3rd failure: permanent ban.
Players who are hunting (gaining experience) are not pulled out in the middle of a hunt. Be present while you play.
5. Decisions and appeals
Apart from the check above, the automatic system does not ban anyone: it only raises a priority for a human to review the evidence. If you think a ban was wrong, open a ticket through the support ticket system on this website within 15 days of the decision, with your account number and character name.
6. Your data
We use this data only to keep the game fair and secure, and we do not share it. You can ask what we hold about your account, or ask for its deletion (except the evidence we must keep for a punishment or a dispute), through the same support ticket system. These rules may change; last updated: October 3, 2026.
